Meet The Team
Ken Teng, P. Eng. MBA
President
Ken has a Mechanical Engineering Degree from McGill University. He started his career in 1984 as a Petroleum Engineer with Amoco Canada Petroleum Ltd., working in sour gas plants in Alberta, and has since become an expert in Fuel Distribution facilities and Process Safety Management. Ken established TENG Inc. in 1996 and continues to work with his team to steward the development phases of projects. He is a Professional Engineer registered in the provinces of Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia.
Mark Fletcher
VP of Construction & HSSE
Mark has built a career in the petroleum industry, starting as a Project Engineer at the Texaco Nanticoke Refinery and retiring from the Imperial Oil Dartmouth Refinery as the Manager of Engineering and Construction. During his tenure as the Manager of Engineering and Construction, he was responsible for Contractor Safety at the Refinery.
Mark provides a wealth of management and engineering skills and is currently mentoring a group of Construction Managers, Safety Advisors and Project Managers.
Anand Harrypersad
VP of Engineering
Anand joined TENG Inc. upon graduation from Ryerson University. After 12 years with TENG, he assumed the role of Section Head Instrumentation and Controls and is now Vice-President of Engineering.
He works as a Principal Engineer on automation and systems integration projects and has worked on many electrical and automation projects. Anand has been involved in all phases of each project, including Scoping, FEED, Detailed Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, FATs, SATs, etc. He has worked on designing instrumentation and controls for many projects and has programmed many of the PLCs associated with the projects. The commissioning of many of these projects has also been his responsibility.
Sonya Shan
VP of Projects
Sonya has over fifteen years of experience in process, project engineering and project management in the oil and gas and pharmaceutical industries. She started her career as a Process Engineer and has since worked her way up to VP of Projects.
Sonya has overseen and managed several multi-million dollar projects, with responsibilities in all phases such as the development of technical proposals, capital cost estimation, preparation of bid packages and bid evaluations, preparation of construction packages and installation specifications, and cost control using earned value method, etc.
